What is acute cholecystitis?

Acute cholecystitis is inflammation of the gallbladder. It usually happens when a gallstone blocks the cystic duct.

What are the symptoms of acute cholecystitis?

Sharp pain in the right upper part of the tummy.

Fever.

Being sick or being sick.

Sweating

Loss of appetite

Yellowing of the skin, and the whites of the eyes

Nausea, vomiting.

Surgery maybe recommended for removal of gallbladder.

How can I lower my risk of acute cholecystitis?

Eat a healthy balanced diet, cut down high cholesterol food.

Maintain normal body weight by eating a healthy diet and exercising regularly.

Avoid abrupt weight loss, talk to your healthcare provider to obtain gradual weight loss plan.
